Timber Frame house

Timber nowadays is becoming such a very modern building material. It is ecological, natural, durable and time-tested. Despite that people perceive a private house as just a dense stone building, more and more demanding are timber frame houses. Fully finished wooden frame house from the outside and inside is no different from other types of houses, because practically all wooden details are hidden under the finish. Wooden frame houses are in demand due to their high energy efficiency and low heating costs. Wooden frame houses are built from renewable resources. Wooden frame houses are one of the most economical compared to, for example, block and brick houses. The cost of building a wooden frame house with full finishing and all communications is 10 to 15% lower than for a house built of blocks, and 30 to 40% lower than for a house built of bricks. It should be noted that wooden frame houses are also economical in operation. For example, in order for a brick house to achieve the same energy efficiency indicators as a wooden frame house, their outer wall must be at least a meter thick.

house construction in process

Construction speed of wooden frame house                                                              The most practical, fastest and most convenient solution is a timber frame building, which is built from prefabricated timber frame systems, which is why such a house is also called a modular house, prefabricated house or panel house. This technology allows the building to be built very quickly (in about three months) and the construction to proceed quickly and accurately, as much less human labor is used. Wooden frame buildings are not only the most popular and cheapest, but also the most durable, functional and comfortable. The construction costs of a wooden house are significantly reduced due to thermal insulation and thermal conductivity of timber. A significant advantage is the quick construction and commissioning of the building, as well as materials that are environmentally friendly, long-lasting, create comfort and coziness.

Construction at any time of the year                                                                       Very essential aspect – it is possible to build a house in any season, any weather conditions. Building other types of houses – brick, block, concrete house etc., it happens, that, because of the weather conditions the building process stops for a long time. Thanks to the light constr. of the house, there’s no need to wait, until the house will “sit”, you can start to live in it already after its built. Thanks to the law of dry construction, a wooden frame house, unlike a block and masonry house, can be built in any season and weather conditions – even in winter, without waiting for the material to dry. It is possible a wooden frame house assembly to the roof in a few weeks – depending on the project. The wooden frame house can also be finished at any time of the year, such as roofing, facade finishing, internal communications and interior finishing.

We choose only the best timber                                                                                     In the wood building process often there is used wood, which is extracted from conifers – usually pine, less commonly – spruce, larch, cedar, etc. We choose only high-class with EU-certified timber C24. Moisture of wood does not exceed 18-20%.
The wooden material is sorted.
For load-bearing house wood structures, which are the outer walls, inner bearing walls, ceilings and roofs of the house, we use spruce timber C24, but for the inner walls we use spruce / pine C16 mix or only pine C16. The choice of timber is determined in cooperation with the engineer during the project development process. In our constructions we use timber from Latvia and the Baltic States. You can trust us to choose the right wood.
