Wooden panel house building – how is going the process of building and machining?

In the basis of the building of wooden carcass, house is making together finished wooden constructions. The building of the wooden frame consists of horizontal and vertical frames. In turn, bulkheads in wooden panel houses during the building process are filled with high-quality thermal insulation. Two-sided wooden carcass house walls’ decoration is optimal in case of the consumption.

Before the materials are brought to the construction site, the finished wooden panel house constructions are located in factories or warehouses and are not exposed to any adverse weather conditions beforehand, they do not need to be stored on the construction site because, as soon as they are delivered to the construction site, it immediately proceeds to assemble them.

A significant characteristic of wooden panel houses is, that they are built in many layers, where each of them has its own function:

  •  The frame ensures vertical and horizontal loads
  • The support prevents the bending of the wall
  • Slabs are for fixing and the fire protection
  • In turn, insulation material ensures fire, sound and heat protection.

Nowadays wooden carcass building constructions are made the way they would be not vapouring permeable. Inner panel of the wooden material works as the barrier for the vapor and the hermetic layer at the same time. The main advantage of the construction is, that the inner barrier for the vapor – a film, is not needed. It lowers costs and ensures a better inner room climate. The wall can dry in any time, so preventive chemical protection of the wood is not needed.

Panel carcass house – how fast is it possible to build it?

  • Details of the wooden panel house are light, that’s why for the installation there is no need for special equipment. Each part of the house is possible to stick together with hands. This work could be compared to carpenter’s work.

  • It is possible to get any geometrical form for wooden carcass houses, it is possible to decorate them with any material.

Outer walls of the wooden carcass panel house

Outer walls of the house should be strong and stable because they all in all are the protection of the house. They are put together during the building process. After walls are made, there are put in the insulation, then becomes the second layer and the wall is strengthened. As the decoration of the wall, it is possible to use any decoration, it depends on the wish of the client.

The wooden carcass panel house outer wall consists of:

  1. Plasterboards
  2. Thermal insulation
  3. Wooden sheets (laths)
  4. Vapour insulation films
  5. Thermal insulation
  6. Wooden carcass
  7. Door for moisture resistant layer
  8. Diffusion films
  9. Wooden laths
  10. Decoration material

The process of producing wooden carcass panels:

For the building of the outer wall used materials:

  1. Gypsum cardboard. Thanks to all the good characteristics of the gypsum cardboard, it is great as a decoration material for the wood house ceiling, floor and walls. This is one of the best and often used materials in producing of prefabricated houses.
  2. Diffusion films. This film is used in places, where it is necessary to provide water impermeability – on the roof, ceiling, floor, walls. This is one of the main materials in building prefabricated houses’ walls and ceiling because it saves all the other materials from the vapor, air and soil gases. It is usually used after the insulation materials are made or between them.
  3. Mineral wool. Insulation with the mineral wool is one of the biggest materials when building carcass houses. It has a leading role in case of saving the construction in a good condition for a long time.

The inner wall of the wooden carcass panel house.

Similarly to outer walls, inner walls is also possible to make by using different materials. But, independently on the chosen, all the walls are durable against fire and heat, damp the sound from one room to another and are water impermeable.

Inner walls can be in different thickness. It depends on static calculations – bearing wall or bulkhead, project requirements, and customer’s wishes.

The inner wall of the wooden carcass house consists of these building materials:

  1. Gypsum cardboards/ OSB
  2. Wood frame – carcass
  3. Thermal insulation
  4. Gypsum cardboards/ OSB

Using wooden carcass constructions

Thanks to flexibility, wooden carcass constructions are suitable both for one family house and for bigger building projects.

By using building process like this, it is possible to build:

  • Living buildings, for example, one family’s house, two floor or row houses, as well as multi-storey residential buildings.
  • Public buildings, for example, different centers of interests, schools, sports halls, and swimming pools.
  • Commercial buildings, for example, exhibition buildings, office buildings, stocks, and factories.

Wooden carcass structures are also used in mixed construction buildings, for example, adding additional living space to existing buildings, as well as mixed structures used in multi-storey residential buildings or administrative buildings. An example of a mixed design can be found here:

Thanks to a huge interest of the clients about wooden carcass houses, their development and fulfilling are proceeding all the time. As main pluses of these types of private houses are – durability, energy efficiency and the time because the building requires much less time in comparison to traditional houses. Passive houses have been considered as future houses. They are energy efficient and they do not have adverse effects on the environment and the house’s livers.

Thanks to the rule of the dry building, wooden carcass houses in comparison to block and masonry houses is possible to build in any time and in any weather conditions. When panels are produced, they are, according to the plan, transported by cars accordingly to unloading/assembling and carefully strengthened. Wooden carcass house mounting process is 1-3 days, depending on the project, 2 till 3 mounting specialists doing mounting works.

Wooden carcass panel house decoration.

When the house mounting process is finished, decoration works starts: decking of the roof cover, decoration of the facade, the building of inner communications: electricity, water, canalization, heat, inner finish decoration.
